The NEMA Residences are comprised of four linked structures, ranging from 10 to 37 stories, including two high-rise towers and two mid-rise buildings. The 24-story South Tower and 11-story South Mid-rise opened for tenants during the fall of 2013. NEMA’s 37-story North Tower and 15-story North Mid-rise debuted 2014. Collectively, the buildings comprise 754 units that range in size from 463 square feet to 1,482 square feet. The towers are connected by a three-story podium with a fitness center, swimming pool and garden. Other amenities include state-of-the-art technology, a Solarium by the Pool Deck, four levels of Valet Parking Service and spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The building features a state-of-the art integral glass curtain wall system with metal panel stripes. At the street level, floor-to-ceiling glass retail storefronts make the towers above appear as if they are floating. The facades create a desirable interior environment by optimizing the balance between heating load, cooling load and natural day-lighting. The $170-million project was built to LEED Silver requirements with interiors designed with low-emitting and recycled materials and landscaped rooftops that minimize the Heat Island Effect.
