The Raymond Group has been awarded the 2013 Project of the Year Award by the Western Wall and Ceiling Contractors Association (WWCCA) for two Southern California projects; Dodger Stadium in the category of Interior Commercial Renovation/Tenant Improvement, and Riverside Convention Center in the category of Exterior Renovation.
The Dodger Stadium Renovation project with Hunt Construction Group was one of the largest and most aggressive renovations in the history of the 50-plus year old venue, with a roughly 4-month schedule and total project cost close to 100 million dollars.
Raymond’s original areas of work on the project included the IDF infrastructure, the remodeling and constructing of 27 restroom facilities throughout the stadium, and the clubhouse. As the project geared up, additional portions of work were added including the concessions, executive suites, and retail facilities.
The Riverside Convention Center project was a remodel of an existing building with the addition of a new, connected, 2-story building. Raymond worked with Turner Construction to complete the interior and exterior framing, exterior sheathing, interior drywall, and lath & plaster.
Projects were limited to the Southern California region and judged by a panel of local architects, the WWCCA, and TSIB on overall design, quality of workmanship, and use of materials.
