Raymond-Southern California’s recent Office Charity Day was a heartwarming success, filled with teamwork and compassion. Our office split into two groups to volunteer for two amazing causes.
Group 1: Ace of Hearts Foundation The first group stayed at the office and dedicated their time to the Ace of Hearts Foundation. Volunteers assembled stuffed animals and handcrafted bookmarks, which will be distributed to children in need along with donated books. The creativity and care put into each item was inspiring, reflecting our team’s commitment to bringing joy to those who need it most.
Group 2: CHOC Hospital and Farmhouse Rescue The second group visited CHOC Hospital, where they worked diligently to put together 100 ‘Smile Boxes’ in collaboration with Farmhouse Rescue. These special boxes are given to children at the beginning of their oncology treatments, offering a source of comfort and cheer during a challenging time. The volunteers filled each box with thoughtful items, ensuring that every child receiving a Smile Box feels supported and cared for. Each box also includes a letter from a farm animal offering the children an opportunity to write back, creating a pen pal relationship.
Sweet End to a Sweet Day To wrap up the day, everyone gathered back at the office for a delightful treat from a dessert food truck. It was a perfect way to celebrate our collective efforts and the positive impact we made together.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and made this day possible. Your generosity and dedication exemplify the spirit of our team, and together, we made a difference in the lives of many. Let’s continue to spread kindness and support our community in every way we can!
Ace of Hearts supports kids having a hard time (sick, bullied, live in divided families, foster care) as well as senior citizens in the community. The Ace of Hearts Project’s board of directors consists of children in the community that come together to discuss business aspects, write letters, and plan for the non-profit organization.
Farmhouse Rescue saves animals from abuse and inhumane living conditions to provide them with a safe, secure, and loving forever home. All the farm animals engage in Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) to heal humans in need.
CHOC Hospital’s mission is to nurture, advance and protect the health and well being of children. At CHOC Hospital in Orange and CHOC at Mission Hospital, they are dedicated to working cooperatively—assisting and enriching existing services as well as developing programs to benefit the families of Orange County. Over two million children across four counties count on CHOC—regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
