Raymond became certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
While Raymond has been majority women-owned and operated since 2017, we are proud to be recognized as a WBE. As a family-owned business since 1936, Raymond is driven by a passion to serve our customers with quality products and exceptional service. Being certified as a women-owned business is an important part of what we stand for — diversity, integrity, and teamwork. As we move into 2024, we look forward to continuing a workplace culture where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected. Raymond CEO Travis Winsor began a one-year term as Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI) President. Raymond has been a member of the AWCI for 37 years, and we have been excited for the opportunity to help make AWCI an even more valuable resource for its members.

Raymond’s San Diego region participated in the San Diego Building Industry’s annual Baja Challenge by helping to build a home for a family in need just south of the San Diego border. Raymond was invited to the team challenge by the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Raymond and Whiting-Turner brought 30+ employee volunteers, along with their family and friends, with the goal of building twenty homes in total by all participating companies.

We stayed safe!
Raymond’s Southern California Arena project received Golden Gate recognition from Cal/OSHA. Golden Gate recognition highlights projects that have demonstrated a commitment to continuously improving the effectiveness of their safety and health management system.
The team was also awarded for managing an outstanding safety and health program. They were awarded Cal/VPP, the highest honor from Cal/OSHA.
Raymond and the AWCI conducted a three-day safety peer review at the Raymond Orange office. Raymond was put under the microscope through this review in which the association’s Safety Directors Committee looked at our safety culture and performance and provided feedback on our safety programs and initiatives.
Raymond’s San Diego region celebrated two years with no recordable incidents!
