At Raymond, we have outstanding employees, so we decided to feature some of them on our blog. We’d like to highlight Kevin Morales, 22-year construction veteran. Kevin began with Raymond 13 years ago as a Lather and is currently the Warehouse Manager of our Martinez facility, servicing the Northern California region.
We sat down with Kevin to learn more about him and his time at Raymond.
What do you like most about working in construction? Having the knowledge and ability to go out and build a structure on my own.
Are you working on any personal passion projects? Yes, I have designed and am currently building a new cabin in a historic little town called New Idria.
What’s the best thing about your job? The people I work with.
How would you describe your career progression at Raymond? I started working for Raymond as a Lather, working my way up to Foreman. Recently, I became the Warehouse Manager for our Martinez location.
What have been your favorite Raymond projects to work on? I have enjoyed all my projects, but recent ones that come to mind are 505 Brannan St. in San Francisco, Facebook in Menlo Park, and Mira Loma High School in Sacramento.

What do you like doing when you’re not at work? I love being outdoors and spending time with my kids and friends. If I’m outdoors, there are two things I want to be doing: shooting on a range or barbequing.
