The Raymond Group has been featured in The Engineering News-Record (ENR) Magazine’s annual Top 600 Specialty Contractors List, ranking 2nd in the Wall & Ceiling category and 91st overall. Raymond moved up from the previous year, where we ranked 6th and 126th, accordingly. The ENR Top 600 List includes specialty contractors from across the nation. Rankings are determined according to construction revenue in a prime or subcontracting capacity.
We are thankful to our deserving employees and partners for their hard work and commitment to continuous improvement, which helps Raymond remain on ENR’s Top 600 list year after year.
ENR California has also announced the winners of its Regional Best Projects 2021 awards program, which gives recognition to quality construction projects in various categories, ranging from airports to sports/entertainment. A/E/C firms across California and Hawaii submitted projects to be measured on aspects of safety, design, difficulty, and value to society.
Raymond is proud to be a part of the Watt Plaza Lobby project, winner in the Southern California Renovation/Restoration category.
Watt Plaza Lobby is a 17,000 square foot lobby located within a Century City 1980’s high-rise. The project was a renovation and expansion of the current area to include a lounge, state-of-the art conference center, catering kitchen, retail space, and courtyard. Also added was a secondary pedestrian entryway connecting to adjacent transit stops.
With 16 feet ceilings, a scaffolding tunnel was erected throughout the corridor so the team could safely take a top-down approach to the entire project. Raymond was contracted by Clune Construction to perform framing, drywall, finishes, lath, plaster, and Fellert acoustical plaster (ceilings) on the LEED Platinum certified office building.
Congratulations to all ENR ‘Best Projects’ winners on their commitment to quality construction.
