Community Giving

Posted December 31, 2020

As we move into the new year, Raymond would like to look back and highlight some of the invaluable organizations that we partnered with in 2020, as well as our employees that stepped up when those in our local communities have needed us most.

At the same time, we want to recognize that many of the challenges of this past year, as they relate to hunger, homelessness, and those less fortunate, are going to continue to be a part of the narrative for 2021. At Raymond, we stay committed to helping to fill immediate needs in our communities, while also being a part of long lasting changes.

  • In May, Raymond launched a charity drive matching contributions made to various organizations in each of our office’s local communities, up to $5,000 per charity. The goal was to provide an opportunity and incentive for those who wished, and had the means, to make a donation.
  • In October, our Las Vegas region participated in the Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada Fall Rebuilding Day. Approximately 25 Raymond volunteers repainted the exterior of two houses for local homeowners in need.
  • As the 2020 holiday season approached, Raymond began our annual food and toy drives in each of our offices. As the year continued to show demand for basic necessities of those in need, Raymond employees stepped up more than ever to help make the holidays a little brighter for those less fortunate.

Scroll through the slide show below to learn more about the organizations Raymond supported in 2020.

  • SAN DIEGO FOOD BANK | The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and its North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 28 million pounds of food, and the Food Bank serves, on average, 350,000 people per month in San Diego County.

As we move forward into 2021, our goal is to bring with us the biggest lesson learned last year: we can achieve incredible feats when we work together! Thank you to our employees and friends that showed support to charities in need, as well as each other, during these times of uncertainty. It is this unwavering support that keeps Raymond, and the communities we serve, strong.
