The Raymond Group has been featured in The Engineering News-Record (ENR) Magazine’s annual Top 600 Specialty Contractors List, ranking 6th in the Wall & Ceiling category and 126th overall. Raymond moved up from the previous year, where we ranked 7th and 158th, accordingly. Rankings are determined according to construction revenue in a prime or subcontracting capacity.
Several Raymond projects have also received ENR ‘2020 Regional Best Projects’ awards that honor the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them in California and Hawaii: Legacy International Center in San Diego, Westfield Valley Fair Mall Expansion in Santa Clara, Chase Center Development in San Francisco, and New Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto.
The new Legacy International Center (Cultural Worship Award of Merit) was designed by the architecture firm of Carrier Johnson + Culture and spans 18-acres with five buildings. Included in the development is a 127-room luxury hotel, a welcome center and museum, a pavilion with a 500-seat theater, an outdoor amphitheater, and a parking garage. Designed to celebrate world culture, Legacy offers visitors a number of unique experiences, like a 28-foot Interactive Globe, international market, stone chamber catacombs, gardens, and more.
The recently opened Westfield Valley Fair Mall Expansion (Office/Retail/Mixed-Use Best Project) was a $1.1 billion, 500,000 square foot endeavor, broadening the upscale shopping center to 2 million + square feet and approximately 360 storefronts.
The Chase Center Development (Sports/Entertainment Best Project) is a state-of-the-art venue on an 11-acre site in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. The project included an 18,064-seat arena, two office buildings, 100,000 square feet of mixed-use/retail space, and underground parking.
New Stanford Hospital (Healthcare Best Project) is a 824,000-square-foot, seven-story medical building, built next to the existing Stanford Health Care hospital. New Stanford Hospital features 368 private rooms and 20 operating suites, and is connected to Stanford Health Care hospital by a sky bridge.
